Module guide: Split A/B Condition

Run A/B tests to check the effectiveness of campaigns

What does it do?

When trying out different scenarios of your marketing strategies, Split A/B can be a very useful condition Let’s say you want to target every new visitor on your home page but you're not sure what kind of message you should send. Split A/B serves the purpose of checking which one is more effective.

How to use it

You may want to divide users into 3 parts. To do this, you need to use two Split A/B modules.

In the first one, type 66 to send ⅔ of the traffic through Channel A then connect the A node with second module that will have the balance set to 50. See the screen below.

Case Study

Connect the module with two Action modules:

1. Send a chat message: “Hi there, welcome to our home page! Questions about ? Let us know, we will be happy to help”

2. Send a chat message: “Hi there, glad you’re here! Let me know if you want to talk about . We are here for you!”.

Click on the module and decide on the balance (the percentage/number the messages will be divided by). To receive the objective results, enter 50, then there will be an equal number of messages sent.

Thanks to Split A/B, you will be able to see which messages have a better engagement rate. Simply add the module User responded and Add tags at the end of each action path to then be able to filter users in the People section by tag and observe which message earns you the most replies.
